Neverland, Incorporated

You twirled and giggled softly,
Dancing on bedazzled feet,
An image of maturity retarded
Like a flock of Disney adults
With their commemoration cups
In search of Cinderella's castle suite.

I didn't realize
Your girlish wiles
Were because, my dear,
You're still a child.

Ride Dumbo
All night
And start a fire
Camping on
Space Mountain.
Never let go
Of Peter Pan
In flight.
You'll grow up,
And that is frightening
Beyond the sights
Inside the Haunted Mansion.
